The passing of the classified site Kijiji’s is not a problem as it has a great replacement in eBay classifieds.

One of the less advertised eBay services, their classified section is on the eBay website. It is designed to fit neatly between the selling function of eBay and the advertising functions of Craigslist with the advantage of being viewed on the main eBay site.

Whilst the services section of eBay was not really competitive or very well documented it is arguably much easier to use than Craigslist, which is not a user friendly interface.

As eBay classifieds are accessed through the normal website they are much more user friendly. It fits neatly between the Craigslist classifieds and the eBay sale listings but also has the well organized interface of the largest online auction site.

The way it is organized is very easy to use and with the very large number of item specifics from their search terms it allows you make a targeted search in very specific areas which will allow easy targeting of searches coupled with ease of search. this means that item specifics are easily found.

The complex contents of its listing data base whilst having an encyclopedic reflection of the market place means that although the amount of data available is huge the listing tool is so easy to use. Once you enter a broad term the individual categories that come up are capable of suggesting every conceivable category. Not only does this make it easier to use than the opposition it’s pin point targeting ensures reaching the exact market you are aiming for.

The classified listings have all the headings that you could possibly want to reach the local service users as well a localization facility which makes the finding of local services or mutual action groups much easier to find.

Obviously this is very helpful in localized services such as property, buying or renting, and job search.

The colorful website combines interaction with an easier interface than the main eBay site, has much less information to digest and is a vast improvement on the somewhat dated appearance of Craiglist.

It also combines my three favorite functions, a local mapping system incorporated in each listing as well as a site wide search if proximity of supplier is not critical, and lastly most importantly there is no listing charge.

So with a simple interface, great data content and eBay efficiency Kijiji’s replacement is an obvious front runner for classified adverts.
